At the Fortune Brainstorm Tech conference in Pasadena last week Fortune’s Adam Lashinsky interviewed an ‘odd couple’ Hewlett-Packard’s Mark Hurd and DreamWorks Animation’s Jeffrey Katzenberg, about the relationship between film-making and technology.
According to Katzenberg, the relationship has gone beyond convergence to complete integration of the two industries, beyond dating to marriage, for better or for worse.
DreamWorks has built its animation-creation system on HP technology, and this CEO combo session was a love fest. We were able to capture the love in this photo we snapped from the audience, but you can watch it all on Fortune’s website.
Quotes we loved:
Jeffrey Katzenberg: “What Google is to search, HP is to IT.”
Mark Hurd: “The only good thing about 2009 is that we’ll get to compare it to 2010.”
