BlogHer Entrepreneurs 2012

I just returned from Silicon Valley where I attended the BlogHer Entrepreneurs Conference.  It was certainly worth the trip back to the West Coast to meet with an incredible group of talented women.

The conference was held on Thursday and Friday and kicked off with a wonderfully delicious welcome party where myself and fellow women entrepreneurs were able to mingle and network. I loved meeting familiar faces from Twitter and Facebook; it was such a delight to hear the incredible stories of start-ups world wide. I even met a few people from Alaska.

This was the 2nd Annual BlogHer Entrepreneurs Conference but my first time attending. I love attending BlogHer Annual and BlogHer Food as well as BlogHer Writers but this conference was so unique and intimate. There were about 200 women in total and everyone was so incredible helpful and passionate for their start-up.

It was great to be among like-minded women who even though they’re working in different industries- at the end of the day we’re all entrepreneurs and could connect and relate to one another on that level. Yes, being an entrepreneur and working from home has its challenges but also has its perks and it was great to chat about our similar lives- even with those half way across the country headed toward a similar goal.

I heard everyone from lawyers to investors to venture capitalists who gave us insight on topics such as Creative Bootstrapping, The App Economy, Both Sides of High-Level Hiring, Making Partnerships Work, Social Commerce and C-Suite Language. Each attendee was given a mentor who they were able to sit with one-on-one and talk about their business strategy and plan for their long term goal and success.

It was a lot of information to take in but So worth the trip and the few days out in the California sunshine.

Thank you BlogHer for putting us hard-working entrepreneur women together!
