The 2012 Global Planners Network (GPN) Congress is being held as part of APA’s National Planning Conference in Los Angeles this April. The GPN Congress looks at planning issues around the world and gives you the chance to catch up with some of the latest projects from Australia to Europe.
What Is GPN?
Global Planners Network is a collaboration of the international planning profession. The respective institutes and organizations formed an alliance in 2006 to contribute to the creation and maintenance of inclusive, safe, healthy, and sustainable human settlements. Essentially this is a worldwide group of planners doing amazing work. It offers information, partnership potential, and a wealth of knowledge.
GPN Congress:
A GPN Congress is held every two years to share information and develop capacity to help each other: Vancouver in 2006, Zhenjiang in 2008, Montreal in 2010, and now Los Angeles in 2012. The theme for this congress is energy, climate change, and the green economy.
