Black Women’s Expo History:
In 1993, the management of V103, its ambitious promotions team along with a newly formed committee of African American women embarked upon what has now become the nation’s foremost exposition targeting the African America consumer! This interactive, educational and informative exposition for the benefit of the African American community has become an effective marketing tool that enhances the bottom-line of growth-oriented companies. The Expo boasted an exciting array of activities presented over the three-day weekend. A central element to the exposition was the discussion of important issues particularly relevant to the African American community. Considerable care was taken to develop the roster of seminar topics and panel discussions that were presented during the Expo, as well as, the list of nationally recognized speakers invited to share their knowledge and expertise. Historically, our standing –room only seminars have addressed such issues as racial equality, financial independence, spiritual growth, self sufficiency and empowerment, health & nutrition, the welfare of our children and, much more!
