The Brazil Game Show is an annual gaming event held in Brazil, alternating between the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo each year. It began as a small gaming event in the Latin American game market called Rio Game Show. After the first event with 4,000 participants, and a second one with about 8,000, the Rio Game Show was renamed the Brazil Game Show (BGS) and received 30,000 visitors during its two-day event.
In 2010, as the largest game event in the country, the Brazil Game Show established itself as the major event in the national market and was three times bigger than the earlier editions. In 2011, the event took place of the major Electronic Games fair of Latin America. The 4th edition received more than 60,000 visitors, including participants of the Conference (5−7 October) and the Fair (7−9 October).
The Brazil Game Show’s conference is aimed at developers, national and Latin America gaming market. The fair brigs together gamers enthusiasts and the public that waits for news releases planned for the end of the year.
In 2012, the Brazil Game Show will be held in São Paulo, with more than 180 exhibitors and up to 80,000 visitors are expected to be in attendance.
