Autumn is the perfect time to try your hand at keeping a creative journal - a splendid record of your life. Join Jani Franck, Official Creative Glitterbomber, Director at The Art House Southampton for 30 days of online learning.
You can watch a short video here telling you all about the course.
This eCourse is for anyone who wants to learn the life-changing, deeply enjoyable habit of creative journaling. Forget the daily grind of writing minimum words, or pouring out your angst onto paper - this is a playful way of journal-keeping, all about fun, colour, mess and exploration!
Creative Journaling is a valuable practice for anyone who wants to live a fuller, more colourful life, expand their creativity and have a record of good times they’ve lived.
It’s a way of keeping your creativity alight through quiet times, or when life gets in the way. It’s also a way of creating a source of ideas and inspiration for finished artwork, reflect on what’s important to you and gain deep insights by taking time out to think about your days.
Recording, celebrating and illustrating your day-to-day life can have some wonderful effects on how you live, too, opening your eyes to the wonder around you!
In this online course, we will spend 30 days trying out lots of ways to get ideas flowing on paper - from writing exercises to doodling, drawing and collage. You will be encouraged to work at your own pace and to your own strengths with a series of exercises which vary in length, enabling you to pick and choose which to do and even combine some of them!
There’ll be no pressure to fill pages and pages each day, it’s all about finding your own rhythm with journalling so that you can get into the habit that suits you best.
By the end of the eCourse, you will be familiar with the techniques and habits needed to continue to keep a journal for life!
The course costs £15 (early bird price just £12.50) which gives you:-
- motivational & fun video tutorials.
- Daily prompts & exercises by email for 30 days.

How does an eCourse work?Online learning is a great way to learn in your own time - I’ve done a few myself and really enjoy the process of working at my own pace.
You will be sent a link to the video tutorial and mini e-book (which includes the worksheets and reading list) on Day 1.
After that, you will have a daily email with short, fun exercises and prompts to keep you going.
What if I have any questions, can I get in touch with you? Within reason, I’m happy to answer your technical and basic questions by email during the 30 days of the course.
I won’t be able to offer 1-1 coaching to participants or coaching in person, but you will be invited to send questions, comments and feedback at the end of week 1 by email and I will respond to the whole group - so that everyone can learn from each other.
Can I do the course faster (or slower) and do I have to do everything on the course? You can work entirely at your own pace and skip bits if it suits you - however much you do, I’m confident you will get something positive from it! The course will cover different art forms, so that you can try new things or work in a way you are already familar with. What is the course (and what isn’t it)? The course will be a series of exercises, tips and small, fun projects to get your creativity flowing and to get you in the habit of regular journaling. It isn’t a course on specific art technique, or a spiritual teaching, or delving into your deep emotional issues. It’s just fun, creativity and a lot of permission-giving and encouragement!I’m on holiday for some of the time the course is running, does that mean I can’t join in? Would it still be okay to enrol and do it daily when I get back ?Yes indeedy! Although the course is launched on a specific date and runs for 30 days, however you can work at your own pace, so starting late is not a problem. What if I want to take my creativity further at the end of the course?I’m pleased you asked! I will be creating more courses to develop, nurture and expand your creative practice as the course ends. How do I sign up?Just register here, make your payment online and wait for the course to start!
Can I get a refund?
Once the course has started, I’m afraid I don’t issue refunds. I put a great deal of time and effort into the materials and am convinced that, if you do the work, you will get excellent results and have a lot of fun.
