With its many universities and technical colleges, Berlin is a center of science and research. In view of the growing demand for qualified technical personnel in the industrial and skilled trades sectors, ehome 2010 will focus on coordinating the activities of science, research and training institutes. In conjunction with the LIGHT DIALOGUE hall forum, an ideas competition for students will be held once again in 2010. The “Factory Street” is a special presentation focusing on the needs and requirements in the electrical engineering trades. The professional supporting program features a series of presentations, workshops and discussions focusing on industry trends, challenges and future solutions. The main objective is to promote dialogue and exchange of information between manufacturers, the skilled trades, planners, architects, designers, researchers, students and trainees.
