FenCon IX (2012)

FenCon is a literary science fiction, fantasy and filk convention annually held in or around the Dallas-Fort Worth area. While not just a filk music convention, FenCon is noted for its quantity and variety of filk programming, performances, and performers. Other notable features of FenCon include science programming, writing panels, fan discussions, gaming, a diverse selection of guests, an art show and auction, a dealers room, a short story contest, a writers workshop, children’s programming, and the FenCon Saturday Night Cabaret.

FenCon is a production of the Dallas Future Society, a Texas-based, Federally-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization informally organized in 2002 and formally created in February 2003. FenCon IX (2012) will take place September 21-23 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel North Dallas-Addison in Addison, Texas.
