National Amateur Gardening Show - 2010

The National Giant Vegetable competition attracted gigantic cabbages, pumpkins and onions, but it was the massive marrow tipping the scales at 65 kg grown by Ken Dade from Norfolk that drew the crowds. Another lengthy contender for the record books was a colossal cucumber measuring in at 91.9 cms grown by 92 year old Alf Cobb breaking his own world record. The EditorinChief of the Guinness Book of World Records came personally to the show on Sunday, to confirm both the new records as official and present the proud growers with their framed certificates.
