Building on the resounding success of the last 7 North American Cell & Gene Therapy Forums, the 2012 event will once again provide a highly valuable meeting place for senior level figures driving the transition of these technologies into safe, commercially-viable products.
Where do the Cell & Gene Therapy and tissue engineered product sectors stand today, and where are they going? The Washington 2012 agenda will feature something of a ‘stock-take’ for the industry, incorporating a countdown of the top 10 advancements in 2011, plus a review of the commercial performance of, and the pricing and reimbursement stories behind, all products currently on the market worldwide.
The programme will also look ahead, identifying the hottest new technologies and target indications for future success and delivering solutions to the key remaining R&D, regulatory and manufacturing challenges at each stage of the R&D process. (The latter will be delivered by representatives of companies that are either on the market or in late-phase clinical trials, providing unique insights in a ‘lessons we have learned’ format, which will benefit companies at every stage of development).
The 3 day conference program will feature a mixture of business, regulatory and scientific topics, with speakers drawn from big pharma/biotech, the regulators and cell and gene therapy developers themselves. Breakout sessions, workshops and panel discussions combine to make the event highly interactive.
In 2012, the North American Cell & Gene Therapy Forum will once again run concurrently with Phacilitate’s annual Washington Vaccine Forum, as well as the inaugural Protein Therapeutics Forum. This year, for the first time, participants can attend any session in any program. All networking opportunities shared between the two events. Breakfast and lunch buffets, extended refreshment breaks and evening receptions will all take place in the shared exhibition area.
