The Society of Gynecologic Oncologists (SGO) 2012 meeting addresses emerging research and treatment modalities currently impacting physicians caring for patients with gynecologic cancer. In addition, this meeting features a special Tumor Board session.

The Winter Meeting is a SGO tradition – celebrating its 17th year as an educational offering for gynecologic oncologists, pathologists, radiation and medical oncologists and women’s cancer care professionals interested in learning the very latest in preventing, diagnosing and treating gynecologic malignancies. Over 100 attendees will participate at the Winter Meeting.

This year’s SGO Winter Meeting program includes discussions on innovative approaches to early and locally advanced cervical cancer as well as utilizing molecular findings to develop individualized medicine in gynecologic cancer.

Leaders in Robotic Surgery will discuss upper abdominal cytoreduction and fluorescence imaging via the robot to identify sentinel nodes. A session will also be devoted to Practice Management where Health Care Reform, the Cost Effectiveness of Bevacizumab, and the medico legal aspects of Robotic surgery will be discussed. The meeting also includes an interactive Tumor Board covering a wide variety of clinical situations.

Target Audience: Gynecologic Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Ob/Gyn’s and Allied Health Care professionals involved in the care of patients who have gynecologic Cancers.
