Michael is currently implementing a cloud based association management hybrid sign-in solution and various other online tools to share information more efficiently about MH with medical professionals and patients located throughout the world for the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States. Malignant Hyperthermia is a fast-acting potentially fatal reaction to anesthesia.
A member of the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) and the Leatherstock Area Executive Association education steering committee, Michael helps create education for nonprofit executive directors.
A former executive director of local nonprofit affordable housing company, president of a promotion agency, and co-founder of an art gallery, Michael has written economic development grants, provided design, print production, and marketing services, and economic marketing information to artists.
A lifelong volunteer, Michael has participated in community growth projects and regional visioning campaigns for economic revitalization, and has sat on numerous boards and committees for nonprofit organizations throughout New York State.
A native of Buffalo New York, Michael attended college there and participated in activities such as interning for radio and television stations, a promotion agency, and working with others to promote a citywide laser display for a 1901 Pan-American Exhibition retrospect, and the unveiling of the baseball stadium and rapid transit system in Buffalo. Activities like these helped to spark Michael’s future working with nonprofits to communicate their missions.
Michael now lives in rural village of a 1,000 people with his family where he participates in Boy Scouts and civic projects. In addition to family, his interests include architecture, board development, and gardening. Michael learns everyday and enjoys applying that knowledge to help the organizations he is connected to grow stronger.
